Expanding HAYLEY DEXIS Continues Investment in New Warehousing, Branches, and Vehicles

Logistics director Rob Williams has a sharp focus on HAYLEY DEXIS watchwords ‘Stock, Service, People’ as he heads up a series of major investment projects across the UK which will benefit both customers and employees. Rob is in charge of the building of a significant new warehouse at the company’s Shelah Road headquarters in Halesowen which is due for completion in the second quarter of 2026. The state-of-the-art 42,000 square feet building, which will join six other warehouses on the site, represents significant investment in Halesowen by HAYLEY DEXIS, the market-leading MRO supply partner to UK industry.


In addition, Rob with the help of his team, has recently completed the fitting-out of a 30,000 sq ft warehouse for HAYLEY DEXIS | Rail on Trafford Park, Manchester. The warehouse, now fully operational, is being used to store stock to service a new international rail customer that has been recently secured by HAYLEY DEXIS. The new warehouse in Manchester, as well as the new development in Halesowen, will have double level mezzanine floors and very narrow aisle (VNA) racking to maximise the available warehouse space.


Further investment in Fleet to meet the growing needs of the HAYLEY DEXIS network has seen £500,000 investment in larger vehicles including various 26 tonne DAF lorries. They join the HAYLEY DEXIS fleet of more than 200 vehicles delivering quality products from headquarters to customers and to a network of 52 branches covering all parts of the UK. The new vehicles increase the fleet’s load capacity, improve efficiency and enhance customer service

Rob has also recently managed projects to relocate HAYLEY DEXIS branches in Derby and Exeter to brand new facilities and assisted in the opening of a brand-new branch in Preston. “The business has experienced phenomenal growth over the last decade and continues to grow,” said Rob, who joined HAYLEY DEXIS more than three years ago. “As the business grows, we need additional people and they need offices and parking space, which is a significant facet of the new development. The total HAYLEY DEXIS real estate footprint will see growth of 20% in the near future.


“As our customer base increases, so does their requirement for a diversity of stock. Therefore, the quantity and mix of our stock continues to change and grow. Building new warehouses and increasing our warehousing footprint will allow us to optimise our existing space and broaden our service offering to customers. “We have chosen to invest in our own fleet of vehicles to deliver a direct, one-to-one service to our customers. This allows HAYLEY DEXIS staff to have direct contact with our customers. “This direct interaction is further evidence of HAYLEY DEXIS’ commitment to service. It’s a differentiator that our customers appreciate.
