The Situation

A large food processing company with facilities in Cumbria were in urgent need of sprockets as a failure on the line had brought production to a complete hault. Being the Boxing Day bank holiday, the customer was struggling to source a supplier that could meet their pressing requirements that same day. The downtime was threatening to lose the customer thousands of pounds in lost revenue.

The Solution

The HAYLEY DEXIS branch in Carlisle were contacted, prompting the emergency call-out service to immediately spring into action. The on-call member of staff went promptly to the branch in Carlisle, where the appropriate sprockets were identified and picked. These were then rapidly delivered to the customer’s facility where the engineers in attendance were extremely thankful for the HAYLEY DEXIS intervention. Production was brought back online soon after. All other suppliers considered or contacted were closed until 4th January. A whole nine days after the breakdown was originally reported.
