
The Situation
The customer, a fresh fish supplier based in the North of England, were having issues with the management and storage of their mechanical inventory and their stock. A member of the Hull-based team at HAYLEY DEXIS was invited on-site to identify ways that the customer could improve.
The Solution
The comprehensive stores management solution by HAYLEY DEXIS, was recommended as an excellent fit for the customer, who currently had no inventory management system in place, no store bins, and had space taken-up by obsolete items. The scanners, label printing facility, and storage bins would provide the stores with the complete overhaul that was so desperately needed. Inventory would be fully reorganised along with the HAYLEY DEXIS solution being implemented, to ensure the best possible starting position and help the customer enjoy maximum benefit.

The Result
The customer was incredibly appreciative of the support, and the system has been a real success. The Head of Engineering can now confidently record and report stock values to the Finance Director, Director, improving the accuracy of data held by the company and better informing purchasing decisions as a result. The stores are now tidy and highly organised, making it easier for engineers to find spares when carrying-out maintenance processes. The accessibility of items in the stores has also meant that the downtime required has been reduced.
