The Situation
A producer of mineral products for a range of industry sectors from construction to agriculture, had expressed a concern about the respiratory protective equipment (RPE) used at one of their sites. Following a conversation with their local HAYLEY DEXIS branch, a trained face fit test professional from the specialist HAYLEY DEXIS | PPE division was contacted for assistance.
The Solution
It was promptly arranged for the face fit tester to visit the customers’ site and carry-out a thorough face fit testing service for RPE wearers. Face fit testing was delivered to eighteen members of staff, with their masks individually tailored to their unique face shape as well as the requirements of their work. All RPE wearers involved were also trained on the correct ways to don, use and doff the masks that they would now be wearing.

The Result
As a result of the HAYLEY DEXIS face fit testing, staff on-site are now much better protected. Masks being used are now far more effective in protecting the respiratory health of users, as they have been modified to ensure perfect seals are created and harmful particulates are not inhaled by wearers. The customer also no longer has to worry about non-compliance with health and safety legislation, thanks to the face fit testing and training delivered by HAYLEY DEXIS.
