SCOPE OF WORK
Upon receiving the seized assembly, our team immediately began a comprehensive diagnostic process:
- Complete disassembly and assessment to identify all failure points
- Sleeve reclamation work on the Ø90mm and Ø200mm pivot bore locations
- Precision clearance machining to address deformation in the gripper casting’s clevis faces
- Manufacturing of new pivot pins to replace damaged components
- Custom fabrication and installation of a bronze sleeve in the new jaw pad
- Full reassembly and functional; testing of the complete gripper arm system
The project required seamless coordination between our mechanical fitting specialists and machine shop technicians to address both repair/reclamation needs and the manufacturing of replacement components.
