An End-to-end Safety Solution for Your Hydraulic Hose
Our hydraulic hose integrity program is designed to enhance the safety of your hose assets and prevent the dangers of using faulty or unsafe hoses. This program is backed by decades of expertise in product and hydraulic engineering.
Devised to Improve the Safety of our Customers’ Hose Assets
Often overlooked, the safety risks posed by hydraulic hoses not performing as intended and as they wear and deteriorate, are serious.
Our hydraulic hose integrity programme has been devised to improve the safety of our customers’ hose assets and avoid the negative consequences of operating with unsuitable and unsafe hoses. Behind every aspect of our programme is decades of product and wider hydraulic engineering experience.
Why Choose the HAYLEY DEXIS Hydraulic Hose Integrity Programme?
Our hydraulic hose integrity programme is suitable for any industry or operation where hydraulic hose is used.
The starting point of our programme is often a visual inspection of all hoses on-site, with their location and predicted service life of each hose plotted and calculated. All the information gathered is then loaded on to a secure database.
Using the results from the inspection, all hoses are then given a physical tag. Red tags are attached to hoses that require immediate replacement. Green tags are used for hoses that are good for continued service, with a recommendation that they are inspected again at an agreed future date.
Every metre of hydraulic hose on your premises is thoroughly checked by one of our hose specialists, as part of the programme. This helps you to maintain hoses at a level of optimum condition, prolonging service life
A burst hydraulic hose can represent a significant safety issue as hose contents (which may be over 85oC) can be shot out at incredibly high pressure, the equivalent of being hit with a red-hot hypodermic needle if an operator is in range. Our programme enables you to avoid dangerous leaks from occurring, and keep staff safe.
Our programme is also designed to educate. The product specialist carrying-out the visit will demonstrate best practice in the use and maintenance of hydraulic hoses, to improve staff awareness and confidence.
The programme can help you to plot an effective maintenance plan for all hydraulic hoses on your site, ensuring that hoses receive appropriate levels of maintenance at the correct intervals.
By implementing an effective maintenance plan, the risks of hose failure leading to production stoppages is reduced significantly.
We can supply replacement hoses for any assets that have been given a red tag. Thanks to our industry-leading levels of fluid power stock and our ability to manufacture custom hose assemblies for same and next-day delivery, we have you covered.
In addition to the programme, we also offer further opportunities for hydraulics and hydraulic safety training conducted by one of our specialist trainers. The courses are held either at our training centre or at your premises, and contain a mix of classroom-based learning and practical skills-building exercises.
